Abstract

palm trees are among the most important trees cultivated in the Arabian Peninsula, and both the Thamudians and the Safavids were interested in depicting the views of palm trees on the rock drawings.
Words appeared in the Thamudians and Safavids inscriptions denoting palm and its derivatives, which are the words: palm, dates, and fruit gathering, as it turned out that the word nl came to refer to the valley.
The palm tree and its derivatives, in the light of the names of individuals in the Thamudians and Safavids inscriptions, had a clear appearance, as some individuals were named with the following names: bl , ʾ bl, tmr, dql and others, which will be presented by the study.
