Abstract


    The painting is one of the arts that passed on a lot of science and knowledge that the researcher can explore throughout his study of paintings, and perhaps the painting of embassies is a kind of paintings that carry us a lot about the members of embassies and official envoys for countries in the Middle Ages, especially the Ottoman era.
    Mostly the focus in the history books was on the tasks assigned to these men without considering artistic features that are related to the costumes they wore, their honorific titles, or attributes they enjoy. Thus, the researcher addresses this aspect as a window through which it could be possible to study the aspects of art related to The Ottoman embassies.
   The manuscript, that includes the painting of the embassies and envoys, was a fertile field for study, as it contains paintings of a group of ambassadors and official envoys, together with some employees or associates the diplomatic mission, as well as a picture of the city to which the envoy's embassy is delegated to, as Tehran and some of the main features of the city such as the Hokoma gate and the Nassiria Gate. The paper also presents a study of the titles and positions of the members of the Ottoman mission to Tehran.
The Research method is the descriptive analytical methodology and is consists of the following:
Introduction: The reasons of studying and the research methodology
Preface: The diplomatic relations, Ottoman and Iranian embassies, and embassies painting in Ottoman manuscripts.
The first topic: A descriptive artistic study for the Architectural paintings on the cover of the manuscript.
The second topic: A descriptive artistic study for the painting of ambassadors and political life.
The third topic: A descriptive archaeological study for the costumes which presented in painting and analysis the artistic elements therein.
The fourth topic: An analytical study for the Jobs, titles associated with the characters.
The fifth topic: An analytical study of the paintings of the manuscript
