Abstract

The current paper concerns the study and publication of a funerary stelae, which has a rectangular shape, with a rounded top consisting of two registers separated by a horizontal line. The first upper register displays a main scene for Osiris together with the four sons of Horus (Imsty، Hpy  ، dwA- mwt.f  ،qbH- snw.f ) while emerging from a blossoming blue lotus flower. The second register includes a scene for individuals -a woman and two men- lifting up their hands and standing in a worship position, something that was widely represented on funerary stelae.  It is worth noting that no close tie of kinship between these persons is referred to in any text. This stelae is made of limestone and is currently preserved at Arab El-Hesn magazine in El-Matariya under No. 4007. It was discovered, together with another  stelae No. 4008, by the Egyptian Inspector of antiquities Waheed El-Aarqan during an inspection mission near the tomb of Panhsi in the Ain Shams area in 2008. It is to be noted that both stelaes were reused in preparing the floor of the tomb from the Late Period. The stelae under consideration is in a good condition of preservation, with the exception of small abrasion parts of the texts, which are inscribed above the heads of the persons. In terms of its artistic features and linguistic texts, this  stelae can be dated to the New Kingdom, notably the Ramesside Period. The present study analyzed the scenes represented on the stelae and provided comments on them. Further, it translated and made comments on the hieroglyphic texts, which contain the Offerings Formula (Htp-di-nsw (, the name and titles of Osiris, as well as the titles and personal names of the persons in the stelae. It is worth noting that the scenes and texts represented in this stelae are incised, and that there are no traces of any color in the stelae.
