Abstract

In the Islamic era, a type of manuscript appeared, which was characterized by its small size that fit in the palm of one's hand, and was characterized by small script, barely legible, which suggests that it was designed for ease of portability and transportation from one place to another, or to be worn on the body as amulets or placed above military flags. Most of the time, these manuscripts were kept in small decorated metal boxes or rectangular leather cases. This type of manuscript has spread throughout the Islamic world. This type of manuscript has spread throughout the Islamic world, and despite its spread, studies were limited to a very small number of research papers in foreign languages, while the Arabic library did not receive any attention. The study relies on the descriptive approach in presenting the pocket manuscripts, followed by a quick presentation of the most important results of the research.
