Reading in Ideology of the Elite in the Roman Mosaics of Britain during the Fourth Century AD

Abstract


 The Roman province of Britain was characterized by economic prosperity, which had a profound impact on many aspects of social and cultural life, bringing peace and prosperity to it. Therefore, the study deals with the extent of the influence of the ideology of the Roman elite of Britain and its reflection on some mosaics of the fourth century AD.  Because art and ideas are closely related to Sociology and even as a means of reading the Roman heritage in one of the largest western provinces, So the importance of the topic,  is to verify the impact of these ideas and their impact on society in this period. Furthermore, review  the general conditions that encouraged the Cultural Revolution in Roman of Britain society. One of the most important results of this study is expressinga new concept of integration between the immigrant culture and the local community.
