Abstract

It was established by Al-Ghursi Khalil bin Al-Jamali Youssef bin Abdullah Al-Taurizi Al-Ashrafi according to what was mentioned in the endowment text recorded on the walls of the iwan located in the northeastern side of the mosque opposite the qibla wall, in addition to what was mentioned in the founding text recorded on the lintel (lintel) the opening of the main entrance door to the mosque  And it reads, “He ordered the establishment of this inhabited mosque in the remembrance of God Almighty, the seat of the planted Khalil al-Turizi, may God accept from him on the twenty-fifth of Jumada al-Akhirah in the year twenty-three and eighty-five.”
