Abstract

Qena governorate is the most famous governorate among the Egyptian governorates in the field of antiquities. In the past, Qena occupied parts of the third to seventh regions of Upper Egypt, and geographically includes the ancient city of Thebes (present-day Luxor), which alone includes a third of the world’s antiquities, And (Qena) witnessed a period of settlement and stability of the ancient man in prehistoric times, here it is (Naqada) with its various civilizations testifies to this in those ancient periods And its civilizational contribution continued in the various historical and ancient eras that followed. On the other hand, the name (Qena) was associated with one of the creation theories, which is the theory of the “Ashmonites” whose thamuna settled west of (Luxor) in the area of (Habu) and was (Amun). And his wife (Amunt) are members of this eighteen, and on her land with "Luxor" the servant of "Amun" is the most important and most widespread Egyptian deity.
