There are many types of means by which sinners appear to be subject to endless destruction in the books of the other world. The "devourer of the dead" himself annihilates the sinners; But the fire and the stake and the swords carried by the agents of torment all follow the same merciless ends, as well as the slashing of the throat and the subsequent severing of the limbs. Which makes one wonder how much time is enough for the process of destroying human existence to take place? Was the purpose behind that to complete the process of destruction and oppression
