Abstract

The establishment of some European-style palaces began to be associated with modern imported Western patterns and ways of life, to abandon the traditional, local style. Thus, a huge balance of luxurious European-style palaces arose in Egypt in general, as well as the centers of Minya in Upper Egypt, in the period between (1805 AD to 1952 AD), including murals on their walls and ceilings.
These ceilings were characterized by different and varied decorative forms in which the artist excelled and painted them in many colors from different sources, distinguished by their beauty and some of them retaining their splendor, while others were damaged and deteriorated.
Therefore, the research sheds light on this problem, and to know the extent to which the effect of imaging technology is on the mechanism of damage.
Therefore, the research will present the historical and technical study of two models of painting on ceilings in two palaces that are similar in damage factors and conditions of the surrounding environment, and differ in implementation techniques, as well as examining the different components used in painting these ceilings and analyzing them using different analyzers to identify their components. The research also presents a proposed plan for treatment and how to preserve these palaces, including wall pictures, displaying them, and rehabilitating them in a way that draws attention to the treasures and heritage treasures that Upper Egypt contains.
