The research deals with the study and analysis of two pieces of terracotta for two female musicians carrying their musical instruments sitting inside a howdah, one of the two pieces of howdah placed on a camel's back and the other piece sitting the two musicians inside a howdah placed on a plinth. They are preserved in the Damascus National Museum. The aim of the study is to determine the status of female musicians and to determine the artistic features of these statues through an artistic study of the depicted elements.
